Yet another UFO finished! And it looks fantastic!

Luckily for me, there are only 2 more UFOs! Yeah! One by one they are finishing and it really feels great...I really do not have the strength to start a new quilt (except for orders, of course).

You can learn more about this one in a previous posts here. And yes! it is a very old ufo!

I have listed this one to my Etsy shop: Checkers quilt

I also managed to make a cool pillow cover for our super brand new sofa. I used those "deers in glasses" from Echino fabrics for the front and an amazing fabric from Julie Paschkis (a really talented fabric designer).

  1. Ooh! I love checkerboard quilts! And you pillow is pretty awesome too :-)

  2. your quilt brought a memory of the quilts my grandma used to make.

  3. Thank you Crista!

Really Conni?? I love those traditional blocks!

  4. Ooh I just love the pillow! It's so happy, with its lovely splash of color. And good for you for knocking out your WIPs, I'm completely envious of your resolve and self-control!

  5. LOVE the pillow!!! Sophisticated looking!

  6. I love the binding on the checkerboard quilt. I'm noticing more and more how the binding effects the overall look of the quilt and really loving the more interesting ones with stripes, polka dots, and other shapes.

  7. Love the pillow! Very fun and bright! Hurray on finishing a UFO!

  8. Fantastic work! Well done! I love the colours!

  9. Whoo! Great finishes! That quilt has such pretty colors and I love the pillow fabrics.
