Starting today I will be launching every second Monday, a new post series "The other world" featuring artists and craft-people from all over the world.
I have changed my whole consumer attitude when I started buying handmade things. There are out there some great people making original and unique items for all of us, that just need to be discovered.
Today I will introduce you to four amazing artists from Russia.
annapavlovna from Pezna, the cutest doll plushes.
Fancyfeltshop from Moscow, felt purses for chic women.
krukrustudio from Moscow, felt bags at very unique designs for all us geeks out there.

Afourcustom from St. Petersburg, original handmade shoes at very affordable prices.
Have a nice week!!!

Some of my favorite finds this week.
Vintage quilts have lately been my obsession.
Saturday Theme Day continues with a collection of some very interesting quilts, that have definetely given me a lot inspiration.
Have a nice weekend.

Continuing my Addiction-Books posts, I give you my favorite book for this spring.
"Fresh from the clothesline" by Darlene Zimmerman, is just a must for any quilter beginner or experienced. The patterns seem vintage-retro, and of course she is using her lines of fabrics, which totally match for these quilts.
The patterns are very easy to understand and to execute, and all her tips are really helpful. There a couple of small projects, that I do not find very interesting but there are about 17 or so project that are all worth it.

My knowledge of managing web site is fairly good, so when Blogger (thus Google) recently decided to automatically redirect MY blog to the country domain of each reader, I got really ungry.
I mean: Instead of having it redirects to (as you have already figured out I live in Greece). If a reader of my blog lives in Australia, for example, it redirects to
But what is the problem with that?
Well, the main problem, that I saw, was the Comments of my readers. If a reader lives in Germany and I live in Greece, the reader writes the comment at, and I cannot read it because I see the domain
Get it?
Google is obviously desperately trying to manage the content of your website, targeting to each specific country. Personally, I have a serious problem about that.
What is the solution?
The solution is here. Read the post and follow this guy's instructions and you will prevent this redirection forever.

"Pure Elements" has been a revelation for me. It is just the perfect line of fabric for this spring (and summer). Working with them has been really fun and pleasing. Super-quality solid fabrics that will certainly stand out in any quilting project.

Naturally I named the quilt "Pure". I did not follow their pattern (just made it up, wasn't that difficult) but the idea was not originally mine. Spool Sewing is offering a quilt kit to make this quilt here. It was love at first site! The colors are my all time favorites...The pattern is fairly easy -a disappearing nine patch-, but getting everything in order was a bit tricky.
The backing fabric is also from Art Gallery fabrics, the concept was not to spoil the "quality" of the quilt by using a different brand of cotton. And I just adore it! It belongs to the Bespoken collection by Patricia Bravo.

The Pure quilt is available for sale in my Etsy store.
