WIP: The last minute finished quilt

8:00 AM

I finished this small quilt -I call it a stroller quilt/blanket- on our way to Thessaloniki, while my husband was driving...Hand binding a small quilt can be a very easy "on the road" project.

First of all I have to credit my inspiration, that was NanaCompany and her wonderful quilting, and the book "Warman's Vintage Quilts", which includes a very similar doll quilt.
I used on the top the line "30's Playtime" by Chloe's Closet from Moda fabrics and a dark brown cotton solid, and for the backing Red flower Floursack from Windham fabrics. The quilt measures approximately [63,5 cm x 83,8cm] 25'' Χ 33'' inches, and it was machine quilted, with a few hand-quilted details, and hand-binded.

I decided to keep this space of our living room for photographing my smaller quilts. I think it looks really cool.

The quilt is listed for sale in my Etsy Shop:

Now on this week's statistics. I have a lot to do, and so little time....

Dresden quilt:
I have been hand quilting a lot on the christmas holidays but still there is a lot left to go. It is going on great though.

I will definetely try to finish the top this week, and finally show you something...

Just today I received the backing fabric, so I will have to experiment with some machine quilting this week.

  4. That is sweet.  I never thought to put black with 30s prints but I will have to bear it in mind.
